Obituary of Helen Lorraine Campbell
My mom, Helen Lorraine Campbell, 98, of Melbourne, FL passed away on Saturday, April 23, 2022 at the William Childs Hospice House in Palm Bay, FL. As she left this earth to be with my father, her late husband Harold, and God in Heaven, a full and beautiful rainbow appeared over her grandson's home in the same city.
Born on May 30, 1923, in Quinwood, WV and living in Melbourne, FL since 1957, she was the daughter of the late Charles Lewis McClung and Alma Agnes McClung. She was the greatest mother, wife, daughter, sister, mother-in-law, grandmother, and great-grandmother that anyone could ever even begin to hope for. Helen was a very devout Christian and was always truly kind and considerate of everyone she knew. If she knew you at all, she loved you and would pray for you.
Helen enjoyed spending time with all her family and was always a big part of her grandchildren's lives. Later, when great-grandchildren arrived, nothing made her happier than to see and hold them for the first time. She was known as Granny to everyone, even friends of the family, and a game of Pictionary with her was sure to make everyone smile and laugh late into the night! She was beautiful, she was strong, and she was loved by many. The world is a better place, having known such a kind and generous soul.
Helen was preceded in death by her husband Harold Morton Campbell, brother Dennis Harold McClung, and sister Freda Ball.
Helen is survived by her son Wayne (Suzanne) Campbell; her granddaughter Michelle (Jeffrey) Speice; her grandson Mark (Carolyn) Campbell; her great-granddaughter Emilynn Campbell; her great-grandsons Benjamin Campbell and MJ Speice; her sister Susan Rebecca Noland; and several nieces and nephews.
There will be a private gathering for immediate family at a later date.
