RIP Maryelln. We never got to meet or speak in person but I believe we are 1st cousins, twice removed. She sounded like a wonderful and interesting person. Maybe one day we will get to say hi to each other.

Maryelln paid a very important role to me and my wife when we spent a year in Milwaykee 1983-84, I as an exchange student at UWM and my wife very busy establishing contacts with so many nice people. She was always so helpful and we could call her up whenever we were in need of any help. We have so many wonderful memories of her kindness. Arne and Marianne Malin in Linkoping, Sweden.

In the spirit of "It Takes a Village", Maryellen was another Mom to me. Our parents were great friends and we lived over the state line in Illinois. We had regular visits back and forth. When you sometimes dismiss the advice of a parent, a good Village Mom is always appreciated. Maryellen was a great Mom with wonderful, usually funny-clever advice. As a testament to the relationships between our parents, Krissi and I liked hanging out with the adults. The Gayle Family has been blessed by knowing her. Beth Gayle Schuler
