Obituary of Alison L. Crocco
Alison L. Crocco
Alison was born June 25th 1962 in Accrington, Lancashire England to Matilda Parr (Greenwood) and Lyndon T. Parr. Spending her early years in England the family moved to Waterbury Connecticut in 1969. Living there into her adulthood before following the love of her life, husband Jude Crocco to Florida.
On March 2nd 2022 Alison lost a long battle with cancer. She passed at peace at William Childs Hospice House, a place she knew well having worked there herself. She was a person who enjoyed taking care of other people. She loved her work there and as a private duty CNA.
While she was very dedicated to her work, family and friends were equally important to her. Her brother Alan & wife Anne with their son Fenwick moved to Florida to be close to her and their parents Matilda and Lyndon. She was also close with her sister in law Julie and her partner Sandy from Massachusetts. Many trips back and forth over the years making happy memories.
She had many friends in the area and spoke often of the days on the boat with Tom and DJ. She made even more friends when she joined the CARE Brevard cancer support group.
She loved to travel and see new places, although would often be found in Vermont (only in the summer) to see her sister Jackie Hough, husband Charlie and their children. Often talking of visiting other places she was able to make it to Mexico, England, Scotland, Ireland, France, Bahamas and all over the USA. She loved going on cruises and enjoying the sights, when not in the casino winning.
When she wasn’t caring for people she was rescuing a cat. Nearly a dozen homeless cats found her, and she gave each one a loving home over the years. It was quite a surprise when she took in 3 dogs more recently, and she cared for them as long as she could and only gave them to someone she knew would love and spoil them as she had.
She will be missed by many, she is survived by her husband Jude Crocco, Mum Matilda Parr, father Lyndon Parr (Satellite Beach FL), Brother Alan & wife Anne (Indian Harbor FL), sister Jacqueline Hough and husband Charlie (Craftsbury VT), daughter Angel Mason and husband Mike (Calais VT), many more nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends. Her 3 dogs, Becky, Butch, and Yoda who are now living out their retirement with Angel & Michael in Vermont.
Per her request no services will take place and in lieu of flowers donations to CARE Brevard can be made.
