Obituary of Oliver "Al" Henry Sturges

Oliver “Al” Henry Sturges of Palm Bay, Florida, received his angel wings on February 15, 2022, surrounded by family and friends.  Mr. Sturges was born May 8th, 1935 in Port Chester, NY.

Al was always active in sports. He played fastpitch softball, basketball, flag football, bowling, golf, pool volleyball, and later in life was a USSSA umpire.

In 1958, he married the love of his life, Charlene Mages, and together celebrated 63 years of marriage.  Together they have 4 daughters, 6 grandkids, and 4 great-grandkids.

In 1981, the family moved to Palm Bay, Florida, and have enjoyed life ever since.  He enjoyed the little things in life, being around family the most, and never met a hamburger he didn’t like!!  

He is survived by his wife, Charlene; daughters; Marsha (Odell), Karen (Billy), Michele, Val (Shawn), grandchildren & great-grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life will be held privately for family and friends on March 6th, 2022 between 1:00 pm and 4:00 pm.
