Obituary of Charles Lawton Grimes

Charles Lawton Grimes “Charlie”, 68 of Indialantic, FL passed away on January 26, 2022.

Charlie was born April 14, 1953, in Lynchburg, VA to Carl and Sylvia Grimes.

The family moved to Melbourne Beach in 1964. Charlie attended Melbourne High School. He was employed by Coast to Coast Sweeping and Maintenance for over 20 years. He enjoyed playing baseball and softball. Charlie was an excellent source for various facts, including sports and history.

He is preceded in death by his father, Carl William Grimes “Lefty”, mother, Sylvia Oakes Grimes, and brother, John Robert Grimes.

Charlie is survived by his sister, Rose Grimes, brother, Don Grimes, sister-in-law, Linda Grimes (John), niece, Brandy (Bert) Bunton (Enzy Rose, Eston, Emerson, and Evylee Roo), and niece, Beth (Ben) Bottoms (Bailey and Laney).
