Meghan Milam

Obituary of Meghan A. Milam

Meghan Milam entered Heaven on January 6, 2022 and was embraced by her parents Arthur and Ann Sanborn and all her loved ones that had been called home before her. She died from cancer with her family by her side until she peacefully passed.

Born on September 6, 1965 at Griffiss Air Force Base in upstate New York; Meghan grew up  waterskiing, snow skiing and traveling with her sisters and parents . She was surrounded by her large extended family and made sure over the years and the distance to keep those family ties strong for her only son Sean. She traveled with her family to visit all the people and places she had made memories with throughout her life so they would know the joy she had known.

She moved to South Jersey in 1977 and attended middle and high school in Linwood, NJ where she made and kept lifelong friends. She spent time at the beach in the summer and skiing the mountains in the winter. Her career as a Bank examiner for the FDIC took her all over the country until she finally relocated to Central Florida in 1989 where she once again found her beloved ocean and embraced the Florida beach lifestyle.

Meghan married her husband Jim Milam in 1994 and started her own family with the birth of her son Sean in 1997. She eagerly traded her career for motherhood and stayed home to raise the love of her life; her son Sean. She was at her happiest being a Mom and was active in both Little League and travel ball. She loved baseball (Phillies) football (Eagles) and hockey (Flyers) -All things Philly- (she was raised in South Jersey after all)

She laughed and danced through life. She had a quick wit and pulled epic practical jokes.

No one was a stranger and she was loved by everyone that met her. She always had a smile on her face and was the life of every party. Each morning she would wake up saying “Good Morning Sunshine”  and end every day by saying “Night Love you Bye”.

Meghan is survived by her husband Jim Milam, her son Sean Patrick Milam, her sister Beth, nephews Matt and Tim, her sister Colleen Sanborn, her brother in-law Antonio Colon-Aliff.

She was very close to all her extended family and friends and she will be dearly missed by each and every one.
