Obituary of Aida E. Romero
Aida E. Romero, age 86 of Palm Bay, Florida, passed away on Friday, November 19, 2021. She was born to the late Cruz Gonzalez Toledo and Carmen Reyes on May 1, 1935 in Caguas, Puerto Rico.
As the matriarch, family and friends were Aida's passion and delight. She was a loving mother, smart, sassy, no nonsense and was known to all as the rock and ewarrior of the family. She enjoyed hosting parties at her house and loved to cook, listen to music, dance and enjoy life. She studied fashion and was an amazing seamstress. She worked for the United Stated Postal Service and retired from 1199SEIU Benefit and Pension Fund in New York City after 25 years.
Aida is survived by her three children, Joseph Romero (Lorraine), Magda Romero and Bonnie Romero; two grandchildren, Jayson Johnson and Elvira Gonzalez; six great-grandchildren, Lawson Johnson, Lauren Johnson, Milan Johnson, Allandon Johnson, Alyssa Johnson, and Leila Romeu; sister Sonia Ortiz (Joe); and many nieces, nephews and other loving relatives and close friends. She was preceded by spouse, Joseph Romero, sister Carmen Gonzalez, and brother Victor Gonzalez.
Aida requested for an intimate funeral not far from her home. The family wishes to thank all of those who cared for her during her last days. For those who have known Aida in her fruitful journey with us will definitely have many memories to reflect upon and smile. Her motto was to live, love and laugh!
