Obituary of Karen A. Brown
Karen Brown, 59, passed away on December 5th, 2021 in Palm Bay, Florida. She was born on June 21st, 1962 to Edward and Diane Brown in Opa-locka, Florida. Karen passed away unexpectedly on Sunday after a devastating fall at home.
Throughout her childhood, Karen enjoyed playing sports and spending her time with friends and family. She would often reflect on the times she spent cooking and baking with her Mom and would credit her great cooking skills to these precious moments.
Anyone who knew Karen knew that she was quite the dog lover and always had a dog by her side. She had a love for bowling and spent many days later in life practicing and participating in local bowling leagues. She also enjoyed traveling with family and made many memories on her adventures over the years. Karen had a big heart with lots of love to give to those close to her. You could see a light in her eyes when she spoke about her passions in life.
She is survived by her sister, Sue Long, and her best friend and significant other of 30 years, Earl Novak. She was an amazing mother figure to two stepdaughters, Jennifer Novak and Kimberly Novak; her niece Jennifer Brenner (Leonard); her nephews Josiah and Alexander; three grandchildren Jack, Bianca, and Oliver; her sister and brothers-in-law; father-in-law; her precious furbaby Daisy Mae; and many friends.
Karen’s family and friends will miss her more than words can say. She was a fun-loving, free spirit with one of the kindest hearts. She will continue to be with all of us as we go through our lives thinking of her and the memories we’ve all made with her.
A funeral service will be held at Ammen Family Cremation and Funeral Care 950 Malabar Road SE, Palm Bay, Florida on Friday, December 10, 2021, with visitation from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm followed by a service.
