Obituary of Vivian Jean O'Brien
Mrs. Vivian J. O’Brien, wife of William O’Brien, passed away peacefully on Nov 26th, 2021 in Melbourne, Florida.
Vivian and William were married for 55 years. Vivian is survived by her sister Cynthia Haray (Lake Ariel , PA.), and brothers Glenn Warren (West Islip, NY.) and Steve Warren (Seaford, NY.), her son Keith O’Brien and his wife Jennifer and her only granddaughter Ellie (Palm Bay FL.). Vivian was born in Floral Park, New York and grew up in Franklin Square, New York. She was a graduate of Valley Stream North High School and worked in bookkeeping and real estate in New York until she moved to West Melbourne in 1981. She continued to work in Florida and stayed very involved in social activities with her family including cub scouts, religious education & traveling. She finished her career at JCPenney in customer service, where she made many friends.
Vivian’s favorite past times were enjoying her granddaughter, playing many challenging games of all kinds with everyone she knew, spending time with friends and family, and having a good talk over a cup of coffee. She was always available to talk to and loved being a wife, mom and grandmother .
The O’Brien Family would like to thank the doctors and nursing staff in the CVICU at Holmes Regional Medical Center in Melbourne for all the wonderful care and compassion given to Vivian, we can not express our gratitude enough.
Services will be held at Ammen Family Cremation and Funeral Care, Melbourne, Florida from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM with a Prayer Service at 6:30 PM on Wednesday, December 8, 2021.
The family would ask the in Lieu of flowers that a donation be made in Vivian’s name to the American Lung Association at their web site Lung.org.
