Dearest Uncle Roy,
I will always remember your brilliance, your wit, the protective nature that you exhibited with and to Aunt Shirley and Sonja, and our family! You were and are like a father to me, to us all. I am especially fond of your song lyric switches, substituting silly lyrics for our current day rock songs. “Kick’em in da jaw, kick’em in da toe…” you know the song!?!!
You are so wonderful, so kind, I am so happy you are with the Lord and In Peace forever. I will miss you in blood but will forever hold you in spirit.

This has taken me some time to really absorb,the fact that Uncle Roy is no longer with us .It will take a book with at least one hundred chapters,to write about all the good things,& how much he meant to my children & me.I have known Shirley,when we were in High School,& living next door to each other.So,I met Roy when they started dating.He was 21 yrs old,& we stayed good friends,through all the rough,& smooth times,and to this bitter end !! RIP,my dear FOREVER FRIEND.!! I still laugh,when I recall the joke you cracked,when I called you to say that my lawnmower was broken,& you jokingly said,Just get two goats,& let them out on the lawn.!!So many more.!! GOD will take care of you,in the best way.!!

Uncle Roy blessed my life with so much happiness as a young girl. My God Father whom I spent many special days in Cleveland showered me with so much love and kindness. I will always remember his laugh and beautiful smile. I pray always for my Aunt Shirley and cousin Sonja. Rest Peacefully Uncle Roy. I Will Love you Always.

Roy was my friend of over 60 years. Words can't express the pain I feel at his passing but I know that God's will takes precedence. I will certainly miss chatting with him and reminiscing on the past. I pray that my cousin Irma, my niece Sonja and nephew Derrick will find comfort in God as time passes. May his soul rest in peace.

Uncle Roy as he was affectionately called by us was a very kind, soft-natured uncle. He was a joy to be around; never showing any kind of animosity, anger or ill-tempered mannerisms. We enjoyed spending time with Uncle Roy, Aunty Irma and Sonja whenever they visited Jamaica. Uncle Roy always had a joke or found fun in every situation. My memories of him will be happy ones. May his soul rest in peace and may God provide comfort for Aunty Irma, Sonja and Derrick.
He will be missed by Racquel, Tajh-Orett and Abbii.

Roy was a very special person pleasant sweet spirited and kind.He would always look out for others his christian qualities were admired by everyone.Words would fail me to express my thoughts and feelings.As I reflect my memories of him are precious. I know that God will sustain my friend Irma Sonja and Derrick.

Uncle Roy was the kindest, most giving and loving man I've ever known. He had a gentle spirit and always had a smile to greet you with. His intelligence and wit were unmatched. When Uncle Roy told a joke, he had you chuckling forever. His sense of humor, tempered by a genuine serenity, always made him the most liked, if not the most loved, person in the room. Though I didn't get to see him in several years, I will always carry the fondest memories of Uncle Roy in my heart. My deepest condolences to Aunt Shirley, Sonja and the entire Jonas family. Uncle Roy is now free from pain and bringing laughter and smiles in Heaven.

Our condolences and prayers to Irma, Sonya and the family for the loss of Roy. Henry and I met Roy and Irma and can honestly call them friends. Roy had a meek and humble spirit. A person you felt comfortable to be in his presence. Our latter memories of Roy would be the DWCF Convention in 2019, helping Henry with taking pictures and socializing at the Convention. We will miss Roy. Praying that you will find comfort in the loving memories
