Obituary of John Edward Ryan

John Edward Ryan, 76, of Viera, FL passed away suddenly on November 19, 2021 in Melbourne, FL.

John was born in Rochester, NY to Edward Ryan and Georgia Day on June 15, 1945. He graduated from the University of Rochester with an honorable degree in Electrical Engineering.  He went on to earn a Master's degree and pursued an illustrious military career with the United States Air Force.  After 27 years of service, Lt. Col. Ryan retired in Satellite Beach, FL.  He had many interests starting with training and showing horses, working on cars, competing in sailing regattas, camping, and always helping and spending time with friends and family.

John is survived by his wife, Elaine Prevost Ryan; daughters, Colleen (William) Yoh, Kara Ryan, and Krista (Michael) Stewart; his grandchildren, Laci, Olivia, Kaci, Holly, Wesley, Reece, and Maya; and his sisters and brothers, Ann, Mary, Jeanne, Doris, George, Jim, and Michael.

Funeral Services and interment will be at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery on December 14, 2021 at 12:30 p.m..  Ammen Family Funeral Care will be handling funeral arrangements.
