For Glen, Martha, Carlos, Evelyn, Elida's brother, family and friends ~ You are beloved by me and my Bob. I love Elida. We met years ago when she and Glen and their beloved staff served my cherished family member at Glenville Pines. Thank you. I am Stephanie. Elida and I are sisters in Christ. We are also nurses. We together spent time sharing our faith and love, well and infirm until her promotion to the third heaven. Elida knew where she was going. I am very happy to 'see' you soar, Elida. I reside on Long Island with my beloved husband Bob. I have a photograph of Roman in our kitchen! I am so happy Our Savior gave Elida and Roman to one another. My love to you, Evelyn. Always sisters. Always there. Love never dies. For Love makes all things possible. I want you to know that the time and manner of a believer's physical death is controlled by God. The soul, the real person doesn't sleep. Elida is in the presence of the Lord in perfect happiness awaiting her resurrection body. I know you miss her. Bob and I miss her too. Anyone who believes Jesus is God will be reunited when Jesus Himself comes down from heaven with a shout like the trumpet of an archangel. Believers who have died physically will rise first in a resurrection body and those left around will be changed as well . We will be together with Our Lord forever! Christ wants us to know these things so that believers do not grieve excessively but rather grieve with hope for our forever reunion. This is 1 Thessalonians 13-18. Bob and I want you to know that Jesus Christ went to the cross and died for your sins. Ephesians 2:8&9 says, "It is by grace(LOVE) that you have been saved through faith. It IS the gift of God, not of works that no one should boast." So right where you sit, you can pray in the privacy of your own soul, 'Father, I am believing in Your Son.' And you will be saved. As nurses, Elida and I know that there is but one true emergency in this life. To believe on the Lord so as to be saved. My Bob and I grieve with hope for Elida today. You can too. Elida said yes to life. We wish you a wonderful Thanksgiving Day as true grief is resolved with but a few tears and a journey. We love Glen and Elida. I would like to quote a verse that I know Elida would ask me to do. So I quote Ephesians 4:32 from Elida for me and for you. This biblical verse sums up unity of the Spirit. "Be kind to one another, tender-hearted, forgiving each other, just as God in Christ has also forgiven you everything." Elida is helping us to know that we all sin and fall short of His glory. We are human after all. God knows we are dust. He is the perfect Father of all who believe. A charge He laid upon Himself. He never gets up on the wrong side of the bed sort-of-speak. He is a Good Good Father. It's who He is. And we are loved by Him. It's who we are. Forgiveness is commanded in this verse because it alone is the essential pass through of the cross in life that roots us in His grace. Elida's thinking, now in heaven, is His thinking. For us to have unity in the Spirit. When beleivers apply this verse to others and ourselves, we have unity. God's plan for every believer is to produce good works in this life by thinking His thoughts in the 66 books of His Word, and doing them. His ways are Higher than ours. Humbling for us all, isn't it? Elida is rooting for us! She is 'walking' by sight. Let's together walk by faith. I love you so much, Stephanie Rosati

In memory of Elida Reyes-Kerr:
I'm Free
Don't grieve for me, for now I'm free;
I'm following the path God has laid for me.
I took His hand when I heard him call,
I turned away and left it all.
I could not stay another day
to laugh to love, to work or play.
If my parting has left a void,
then fill it with remembered joy.
A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss;
Ah yes these things, I too shall miss.
Be not burdened with times of sorrow,
I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow.
My life has been full, I savored much,
good friends, good patients, good colleagues,
good times and the love of my family and children.
Perhaps my time seems all too brief;
Don't lengthen it now with undue grief.
Lift up your hears and share with me,
God wanted me now, He set me free.
Padre Nuestro
Pared Nuestro, que estas en el cielo,
santificado sea tu Nombre; venga tu reino,
hagase tu voluntad en la tierra como en el cielo.
Danos hoy nuestro pan de cada dia; perdona nuestras
ofensas como tambien nosotros perdonamos a que nos ofenden;
no nos dejes caer en tentacion, y libranos del mal.
Amen.

Elida Reyes was a great friend to the Montilla family and one of my mother's best friends.
In a very critical and distressing time, my mother called her for her company and support, and she showed up with no questions asked and provided my mother with the love, support, and presence she needed at the time.
Elida was a professional in every way, and she was loved not only as a good friend but as a family member.
Elida will be dearly missed.
All our love and condolences,
The Montilla Family
