Obituary of Dale Frederick Rocker

Dale Frederick Rocker, 78, of Melbourne, FL. Passed away on Thursday, August 26, 2021, in Melbourne, FL.

Dale was born in Chapell, NE to Frederick and Addie May Rocker on April 22, 1943. He went to high school at Chapell High. He went on to serve in the U.S. Army at the age of 17 and served for 11 years. After his military career, he worked as a telephone contractor for 30 plus years. Dale was also a Correctional Officer at the Kentucky State Penitentiary for 10 years before retiring.The past 2 years Dale lived a retired life in the sunny state of Florida. Dale was a lifetime member of the VFW, loved fishing, working on stained glass projects, reading and watching old westerns while relaxing with his faithful dog, Princess, by his side.

Dale is survived by his wife, Ila Rocker of Melbourne, FL.; Son Bradley Rocker (wife Karen)of Houston, TX; Daughter Tina Havenridge (husband Chris) of Oklahoma City, OK; Daughter Janet DeLoach of Melbourne, FL; Son Marvin Rocker of Houston, TX; 17 grandchildren: Ashton Rocker (wife Rachel) of Houston, TX; Sarah Rocker of Houston, TX; Emily Rocker of Houston, TX; Amelia Hopper (husband Marc) of Andover, KS; Christopher Havenridge, Jr of Oklahoma City, OK; Katherine (Kati) Bachmann (husband Shayne) of Allen, TX; Mackenzie Duarte (husband Oscar) of Celina, TX; Jacquelyn Havenridge of Oklahoma City, OK; Robert Havenridge of Oklahoma City, OK; Thomas Havenridge of Camp Pendleton, CA; Sean Havenridge of Oklahoma City, OK; Daneal (Alex) Havenridge of Oklahoma City, OK; Matteo Havenridge of Oklahoma City, OK; Kaylyn DeLoach 0f Melbourn, FL; Nolan DeLoach (wife Ashley) of Denver, CO; Alyssa Rocker of Tomball, TX; and Alyson Rocker of Tomball, TX. 5 great grandchildren: Trysten Havenridge of Oklahoma City, OK; Bradley Rocker of Houston, TX; Koraline Quinn DeLoach of Melbourne, FL; Sophie Hopper of Andover, KS; and Christopher Havenridge lll of Oklahoma City OK. Brother Burton (wife Barbara) Rocker of Jacksonville, AR; Sister Janice (husband Wayne) of Hastings, NE; as well as several other extended family. He is preceded in death by his father Frederick Rocker; mother Addie May Rocker; and Son-In-Law Gregory S Howard.

Dale will be cremated as he wished at Ammen Family Cremation & Funeral Home in Melbourne, FL and his remains will be laid to rest in the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West in Hopkinsville, KY at a later date to be determined.
