Obituary of Ruth S. Moore

Ruth S. Moore, 89 of Greensburg, Pa. passed away on Tuesday, Aug 31, 2021, in Palm Bay, Fl where she lived with her daughter, Joan, and husband David. She was born November 29, 1931, in Youngwood, Pa, daughter of the late Walter O Steiner and Eva May (Orner). 

She was a member of Greensburg Alliance Church, where she was involved in children’s ministry and singing in the choir alongside her husband William A. Moore. They were married in 1956 for over 55 years until he passed in 2012. She worked as a seamstress in Adamsburg for several years, and tirelessly cared for her husband and children. Always loving and caring for others.

Surviving members of her family are Brother Walter Steiner and wife Helen, four children, Joan E. Daughenbaugh, and husband, David, of Palm Bay, Fl. William A. Moore Jr. of Greensburg, Pa. Ronald E. Moore of Greensburg, Pa, and David L. Moore and wife Julie of Hummelstown, Pa; and six grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Jim and Lester Steiner, and her husband, William A. Moore.

There will be a memorial service at Greensburg Alliance Church in Greensburg Pa. welcoming friends and family to celebrate at 11am on October 23, 2021, followed by burial at Westmorland Memorial Park, Greensburg, Pa.
