Obituary of Edward J. Novak, Jr.

Edward John Novak, Jr., 87, of West Melbourne, Florida passed away on August 27, 2021, at Holmes Regional Medical Center in  Melbourne, Florida. He was born on April 1, 1934, in Chicago, Illinois to the late Edward and Stella (Liput) Novak.

Edward was a proud veteran of the US Army and worked at the United States Postal Service. Those who know him know that he could strike up a conversation with anyone he met... and he usually did. His hobbies include games of chance, collecting coins, watching Westerns and spending time with is family.

Those left to cherish his memory are his children, Mark (Linda) Novak, Tracy (Mary) Novak, Todd (Peggy) Novak, and Cindy Grunwald; grandchildren, Jennifer (Steve) Cosme, Eddie Novak, Emily Novak, Daniel Grunwald Jr., Derek (Bryce) Grunwald and Cody Grunwald; great-grandchildren,  Emery Grunwald, Ainsley Grunwald, and Madilyn Cosme; sister, Dolores Dunne, and sister in law Jeanine Boyd.

He was a loving father, grandfather, and great grandfather.

The family will receive friends on  Friday, September 10, 2021, from 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM at Ammen Family Cremation & Funeral Care – 1001 South Hickory Street Melbourne, Florida. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, September 11, 2021, at Ammen Family Cremation & Funeral Care, Melbourne Chapel. Burial to follow at Florida Memorial Gardens.

He was greatly loved and will be greatly missed. We take comfort in knowing he is once again with Mary Ann (mom) the love of his life dancing in Heaven.
