Obituary of Mari P. Atha
Mari P. Atha went into the Lords hands peacefully at her home in Palm Bay, Florida on August 8th, 2021. She was born on May 21, 1964 in Chicago, Illinois to Carmen Morales and Francisco Gonzales-Reyes.
Mari served briefly in the Armed Forces for the US Army like her two siblings, Daniel and Wilfredo. She then went on to earn multiple degrees in Business Administration, Accounting and Medical Assisting at both St. Augustine University in Chicago and Florida Metropolitan University in Melbourne, Florida. Mari enjoyed taking care of people and caring for complete strangers as if they were family. This “calling” to take care of the ill sparked a sudden change in careers for Mari thus the start of her medical career. She had worked for a multitude of doctors and medical facilities throughout the Brevard County area until she too became ill and needed that same level of care she provided her patients. She definitely projected her love and compassion for this field and all those she had the privilege to serve and care for.
Mari is survived by her husband of 21 years, Robert L. Atha, her mother’s, Carmen Morales and Yvonne Atha, her children, George, Christian, Eric and Alexander, her grand-children, Devan, Breyanna, Anastacia, Georgianna, Roman and Giovanni, and her siblings, Daniel, Wilfredo and Ginny.
Her wake/viewing will be at the Ammen Family Cremation and Funeral Care 950 Malabar Road SE, Palm Bay, Florida on Thursday, August 19, 2021 between 4:30 P.M. -7:00 P.M. The following day will be at Catholic Mass at 10:30 A.M. at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church 300 Malabar Road SE, Palm Bay, Florida. Her final resting place witll be the Sebastian Municipal Cemetery.
