I first met Denise in Michigan when she was still in high school. She had long wavy copper colored hair, a beautiful smile and an exuberant personality.. I also met her wonderful parents and siblings. Denise married and had her children. She visited me at our country home. I moved to Pennsylvania and we sort of lost touch. When my husband and I retired and moved to Florida, Denise and I reconnected. We attended some Methodist women's conferences. Denise zipped around everywhere in her electric wheel chair leaving a trail of smiles and happiness. The women enjoyed being with this little adorable lady who just happened to be in a wheelchair. Roger and Denise visited us here in The Villages and we visited in Melbourne. In my mind, I always see Denise with that hair, that smile, that bubbly personality. I miss talking to her, I miss that we did not get that last visit before she passed. I did send her flowers for her birthday and we had a wonderful long talk. I will always love her and am glad she was in my life. Judy Lapham
