Obituary of Margaret (Peggy) Carroll Daley

Margaret Ellen (Peggy) Carroll, "Piggle Wiggles", of Melbourne Florida passed away Friday July 2, 2021 in Melbourne Florida surrounded by her family.

We are all here today not to mourn the passing of Peggy, but to celebrate how she lived and boy did she live. Many of you have shared pictures and stories that fondly remind us of Peggy. It may have been a prank that she was famous for, and as we all know, she had 9 great teachers. Pranks in the Carroll household were a way of life. You always had to be prepared and bring your sense of humor, whether it was the annual Christmas tree flocking or an in prompt water gun fight indoors, and you can bet that Peggy was somewhere in the mix.

There was also a serious side to Peggy in the compassion and empathy she felt for people. Peggy hated to see people doing without, and anytime Peggy found herself with a few extra coins, she was only too happy to spread the wealth. Material things weren't what Peggy was about. Family and friends are where Peggy put all her eggs. She loved life and loved making people laugh even if it was something she did. She had an infectious laugh, you know the kind that come from the belly and once she started, she couldn't stop until (sorry about this Peggy) she peed herself and would have to go and take a shower. She never wanted people to be mad at her. Laughter was always her best medicine. She would find humor in everything.

Peggy was a free spirit, she would think nothing about picking up and moving somewhere new just for the hell of it, oh she would always come back, because this is where her family and friends were.

Did Peggy leave a footprint here on Earth? Yes, she did. Peggy touched the lives of everyone she came in contact with and we have to say that Peggy got us to see and enjoy the simple things in life.

She leaves behind her own legacy of being a wonderful daughter, great sibling, and an awesome aunt to her many nieces and nephews from all over. We are going to miss her smile and her laughter. So again let us not mourn for our friend Peggy, but remember how she lived.

Peggy was predeceased by her loving parents Al and Mary Carroll, sisters – Julie Carroll, Teri & George Fraser, brother – Tim Carroll, and brother-in-law Jonathan Means.

She is survived by her sisters and brothers – Mary Means, Dottie & Jamie Fortson – nephews Brian and Chris Lucio niece Michelle Lucio (Damian & Senaia) - niece - Dee Randall (Danyelle & Toby), Barb Randall (Maddox), Patty Carroll – niece Debbie Warren (Tiffanie & Joseph) nephew Greg & Trina Warren (Callie), Bud & Ying Carroll – nephew Jake nieces – Angie & Chris Hruby (Elise & Asher), Liz & Carissa Weaver (Kai and Eli), Catherine & Andrew Vojslavek (Hazel) and Rebecca Carroll. Bill & Sarah Carroll – nephews Matthew & Lanta Carroll (Riley) and Michael Carroll, Suzy Carroll – nephew Robert Miller niece Meghan Miller. Uncle Bob Carroll and numerous cousins scattered throughout the United States.

Celebration of life will be on Saturday 7/31/21 from 4-8 pm at the VFW – 3250 US1, Rockledge FL
