I miss you now and always. I can never forget all the drunk "killa kainnnnns" we had together. The red and black fit with the beany you used to rock at Jesse's house. I met Kain in elementary and we were always goofing off in class, eventually spending time outside of school and became lifelong friends. Even when he moved to Melbourne we kept in touch and saw each other whenever possible! Overtime, I was saddened by the people he would surround himself with and even though I didn’t have it all together either... I wanted to be a positive influence in his life. Over a decade long friendship we began to carve different paths in life but I still loved him for who he was despite everything that has happened the past few years. I truly believed in his potential and had many heart to heart conversations about wanting more out of life. Regardless of circumstance he always had a great passion to help in anyway he could whether it be physically or emotionally. I was very hurt to hear about his passing and feel that I have failed him in someway. I will cherish all the great memories forever from having dinner, and holidays spent with you and your family. To more personal days we would play football,basketball, or video games with friends. I as well as many others are burdened by the hole left by you leaving this world so early...but I also feel now that you are at peace knowing that you were loved by so many <3

I have known Kain for a very long time. Kain was actually the first person I met, first friend I had when I moved to Florida. When we first got here, we didn’t have a fence in our backyard. I remember my mom came and grabbed me, and pointed out one of our back windows at this little boy about my age playing with this RC car in our backyard. She told me I should go outside and talk/play with him. I wanted to make a friend so I went out, nervous as I was, and kind of stood next to him, staring at him. He eventually stopped and looked at me and asked my name and if I wanted to play. That was the start of a very long, and very fulfilling friendship. Kain would come and visit every summer, and having your best friend live right across the street from you definitely made it easy to hang out. We would stay up all night playing video games, go grab Chinese food, swim in my pool, and then eventually once Poppy got a pool table, go play pool at Poppy’s and just hang out in the garage. Kain was always a fun loving, kind hearted person. Always made friends wherever he went and grew spheres of influence as well. Every summer I could count on him coming and I knew we wound spend every day together doing whatever we wanted. I hate that we grew apart as we got older..
Kain, I will miss you.. and I will always love you.

Amanda and family, Our hearts break along with you during this very difficult time. My children were very close to Kain 7-9th grade and they each share their own memories of him. Kain was like a second son to me. When he lived with his Grandparents he was ALWAYS over at my house hanging out with my son Chris. Kain was always there when I needed him. Whether it was putting a baby bird back in its nest as I kept momma bird from scalping him, or getting those pesky lil lizards out of the living room while I held the broom playing lizard hockey. He even got out of bed at 7 in the morning to remove the black snake that had slithered into my garage as I was freaking out. He was good like that. Always willing to help, always with a smile on his face and boy did he love his Momma! The world is going to be a little sadder without him. Rest In Peace now Son till we meet again!

"My Heart"

My heart is broken, rattling around in the emptiness of my chest.
My stomach is in knots that I can't seem to digest.
My throat has developed a lump making it hard for me to breath.
A profound hollowness that brings me to my knees.
My heart has been shattered, the shards floating aimlessly through this hollow shell,
The pain of losing you has been a living hell!
I find them seeping out the corners of my eye and
it happens every damn time I cry.
My heart is broken, this I know, but with the light of your memory,
the remedies for the pain will start to grow.
And with the light comes divine healing, a process so sweet.
Those memories will be safe there for all my years to keep.
My heart will beat again, but with a different sound
and only when all those last pieces are finally found.
My heart will mend, but will remain scarred, with a
few cracks, for this my dear will let your light in and make up

Kain was on of my best friends and I will always love and miss him dearly. I spoke to him and said my goodbyes, but it will never feel right again without him here with us. My heart is shattered into a trillion pieces, I just can't believe our darling boy is gone. I have soooo many memories of him and I'm not quite sure where to begin. One comes to mind of him as a elementary school boy and when I would pick him up, if possible I would drive the long way back home. Well one day, I told him I needed to get home fast and that we were taking a short cut. He looked at me with his little puppy dog eyes and said "Awe! I wanted you to drive the "Long Cut" home, Nanny!" I could not resist that face and well, of course drove the "long cut", past rolling hills and meadows full of wild flowers and a cow or two. He loved long drives, listening to his Nanny's "old timer" music. I used to tell him every night after reading Good Night Moon that I loved him to the moon and back. He was a bright, intelligent young man with a heart of gold. He was our Son-shine, our golden nugget, our cute as a bug, Kain. I will miss him so much. I love you to the Moon and Back, a million times over and I will always take the "long cut" home. Love Always and Forever, Your Nanny

Well, I don't really know where to start. Kain was such a delightful part of our lives and was truly a blessing from the heavens to all of us. I do remember when he was about 8 yrs old and made a cross country trip with me, his Poppy, Robin his Nanny, his great grandma and great grandpa. We were on the road a total of 28 days and he was the best kid you could have ever ask for on the trip. He never once said are we there yet, I'm bored, and I am not sure he ever said he was hungry, but his only request to his Poppy was to get a hotel with an indoor pool so we could go swimming. Well, we did grant his wishes as often as we could, but one night we had to stay at a smaller hotel in the mountains where it was a little chilly. He insisted on going for a swim in the outdoor pool. Great grandma told him he would freeze, and he was only in the pool a few minutes before his teeth began to chatter. We convinced him to get out of the pool and warm up prior to going to dinner. I could go on forever about him because he grew into a very caring and thoughtful young man, and we will miss him for the rest of our days here on this earth. Love you Kain Bug!
