Obituary of Lisa Lynnette Gray
Lisa Lynnette Gray, 50, passed away Tuesday, July 6, 2021 at Holmes Regional Medical Center after a two-year battle with metastatic breast cancer. She was welcomed into heaven, surrounded by prayers and love from her daughter, sisters and friends. Lisa was born September 18, 1970 in Danbury, CT to the late William Gray and Janet (Fingado) Ross. She is survived by her mother, Janet, daughter Virginia A. Davis, grandchildren Layla and Joseph, two sisters, Laurie Ho, Lindsay Ross and godmother, Janet Stankowski. She was the granddaughter of the late William and Virginia Gray.
Lisa’s fiery soul, spunky personality and gentle touch could make anyone’s day better. She loved to make everyone laugh and always made sure you left her house happy. She had a strong love her family including her grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She loved to cook and bake making sure everyone was well fed when visiting. Her talents included arts & crafts and playing in her garden. She had the strongest green thumb starting many trees and plants from seeds of the fruit. She once grew a 20 foot avocado tree in the back yard of the house she grew up in from the pit she started in a glass. She was such a talented woman. Her love for animals and nature was beautiful. She had animals of all kinds over the years including saltwater fish, sugar gliders, squirrels, rabbits, birds and her and her beloved dogs, Brandy and Marley and cats Wilbur and Macey Gray. She was nicknamed Elly May due to her kindness and love for animals.
Lisa was a loving mother to her only child, Virginia Ariana Davis, beloved grandmother of Layla and Joseph, cherished sister of Laurie Ho and Lindsay Ross, adored aunt to her nieces and nephews, Chloe, Alana, Kayla, Ellia, Janessa, Trent and Dustin. She remained friends with former boyfriend Keith Scarbrough and former husband, Andreas Gorsdorf. She truly was a Mom to all and will be deeply missed by all those who had an opportunity to know and share her love.
