Obituary of Maxie DeWayne Sands

Maxie DeWayne Sands, 67 has passed on to be with our Lord on June 2, 2021 after a lengthy illness and hospital stay. 

Max was born on November 12, 1953 in Jacksonville, Florida. He served his Country for 8 years in the United States Air Force.  He retired from Rockwell Collins in Melbourne, Florida after 33 years of service. His work in science and aeronautics is honored by many who knew him. 

He is survived by his loving wife Nancy, with 48 years of marriage. One daughter, Angie, along with three grandchildren and two great-grandsons. His mother Dollie Register also survived him along with his sister Pam and two brothers, Duane and Tony Register. 

He was preceded in death by his father, Maxie Sands, his stepfather, George Register and his brother Steve Register.
