Obituary of Joyce Delores Brown
Joyce Delores Brown, 61, passed away on Monday, May 24, 2021. Joyce was born to the late James and Bertha Brown in Melbourne on December 14, 1959. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Terri Brown and niece, LaToya.
Joyce was a native of Melbourne and graduated from Melbourne High School, class of 1979. Joyce enjoyed her work of many years at Anchor Rehabilitation in Melbourne as a Dietary Aide. Joyce was a loving and kind person and would help anyone who asked for it; if anybody needed a ride somewhere, Joyce was the first to volunteer to take them. Joyce was an extremely hard worker and she helped in whatever way she could before she had to stop working. Joyce was not vain, but she was someone who was always well-dressed and put together. Joyce was “honest to a T,” and gave her opinion whether people would want to hear it or not. She was a loving and kind person and will be forever loved and missed by all who knew her.
Those left to cherish her memory is her loving daughter, Kasha Brown; four sisters, Shirley (Steven Ray) Sessions, Sonia Brown, Maggie “Louise” Brown and Mattie Brown; two brothers, Shevie (Alyssa) Brown and Charles Parker; one step-brother, Tracy; 14 nieces and nephews, Shemeka, Ashaunti, Shakeria, Tyshaun, Ackeeta, Arkeith, Keyounger, Demetrius, Latravia, Latanya, Queshonda, Erykah, Mckenna and Lesha. As well as many extended family and friends.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, June 5, 2021 at Ammen Family Cremation and Funeral Care- Melbourne Chapel with burial following at Grant Street Cemetery.
