Obituary of Lewis Thomas Hodge
PALM BAY – Lewis T. Hodge, age 75, of Brevard County, went home to be with the Lord, Wednesday, May 5, 2021.
Lewis was born November 19, 1945 in Pulaski, Virginia to the late Everette and Wanda Hodge. He served our country in the US Army during Vietnam and received a Purple Heart Medal. As a civilian, he was a mechanic with Penske Truck Leasing. All of his life he was an avid fisherman and loved being on the water. He always enjoyed a good joke and had a fun sense of humor. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather and a trusted and beloved friend.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Anthony Hodge.
He is survived by his wife of thirty years, Pamela Hodge; his children: daughter Lori Neveras of Winter Park, son Jason Hodge and wife Meg of Saint Cloud, daughter Heather Hodge and husband Josh of Palm Bay, step-daughter Amy Williams and family; his sister Betty Moore of West Virginia; his aunt, Dorothy Shull of Palm Desert, California; his grandchildren: Matthew and Daniel Neveras, Thomas (Ty), Jason (Drew) and William (Will) Hodge; several cousins, nieces and nephews.
The family will receive visitors for a viewing from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM on Saturday, May 15, 2021 at Ammen Family Cremation & Funeral Care, 1001 Hickory Street, Melbourne. The funeral service with military honors will follow at 4:00 PM at the funeral home.
He will be laid to rest at a later date at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery in Mims, FL.
