Ralph Ridley

Obituary of Ralph Ridley

Tom Ridley, he used Ralph for legal reasons only, was born in what he called the Metropolis city of Cairo, Georgia to Ralph Wendell Ridley and Zunie Ethel Sellers. Tom was the eldest of four siblings (Sandra, Hal and Fred) and after graduating from Cairo High School, he relocated with the rest of the family to West Melbourne, Florida.

He was a “jack of all trades” and was involved in many different occupations. He has been an important part of the community here in Palm Bay for the past 27 years as he and his wife Peggy ran a custom picture framing business. Tom believed in giving back to the community, but he also believed in church and family.

He was a member of Faith Baptist Church and he offered support to this community through assisting Brevard County school's art teachers as well as our local artist and galleries.

Tom was a brother, a husband, a father, a grandfather, a great grandfather, an uncle, a clown, an artist, a craftsman, a neighbor with a great sense of humor...the list goes on. He was many things, but most of all, he was loved.

Tom is survived by his beloved wife Peggy. They share five daughters, six grandchildren and three great grandchildren. His family feels his loss but knows he is in a much better place.

A Celebration of Life will be held for him at Faith Baptist Church, 341 Emerson Dr NW, Palm Bay at 4pm on Saturday, May 8th followed by a pot luck dinner. We invite all our friends and family to come celebrate our love for Tom.
