Dear Robyn, Kat, Elizabeth and sons of Bob,
Sy and I were one of the very fortunate 5 couples in our Gourmet Dining Group with Bob and Lynne in Rockledge for over 20 years. Such splendid theme feasts, games, music and times we have shared in their beautiful Oakledge Drive home for all those years. Lynne was one of my dearest friends and our group surprised her and Bob on Lynne's last Chemo treatment by being at their home with meals, balloons and a cake to celebrate the ending of one of her struggles.
We've gotten to know the family of children over the years and it's been our great pleasure to share in their lives. Our hearts are heavy at losing Bob but as others have said, we lost him years ago. It was painful when he did not recognize us on our last visit to Autumn House. Rest in Peace, Bob and we'll keep in touch with your wonderful children. Fran and Sy Baker

Robyn, Jeff, and Ken,
My thoughts and prayers are with you as you get used to being in this world without your father. I know he's been absent for a long time as he, and you all, have dealt with his receding presence due to dementia, But it is still strange to realize, again and again at first, that he is no longer inhabiting this physical world with us.
I mostly remember your dad from Granby and West Granby days; the "hoots" around the campfire at our house on Meadowbrook Rd, singing all the campfire songs and rounds that Robyn and I re-discovered a few years ago at our lakeside cottage; playing with Robyn in your newly built "bomb shelter" in your Granby home- when our big brothers would spook us by making noises through the air tubes; the New Years Eve sledding parties at your W.Granby farm house; staying with your family there when my mom was in the hospital and being mortified at the loud, creaky floors in the quiet of the night when I had to go to the bathroom! But mostly I remember your dad's infectious laugh, and those eyebrows!!
May you all find peace in this new phase of your lives. Much love to you all.
Carol Hart

Bob and Marcia were such an important part of my teen years at Choate Rosemary Hall. I would sit with them nearly every day, in the dining hall, and share my sorrows and joys as though they were my own parents.
Bob was one of the kindest and wisest men I've ever known. Alzheimer's, that cruel disease, took him from us long before he left this world -- and I will always miss him.
I am blessed beyond measure to have his daughter, Robyn, as my best friend of nearly 50 years.
Rest in peace, dear Bob, and may light perpetual shine upon you.
