Obituary of Susan Lynn (Walz) Noble
Sue was born in Anchorage, Alaska on June 7, 1949 to Walter M. and Irma R. Walz.
Susan was preceded in death by her husband Joseph P. Noble of 50 years and is survived by her children: son Joseph Noble Jr. (Caroline), daughter Marcia Craig (Matthew), son John Noble (Julie) and son Mark Noble (Gina). Sue deeply loved her 9 grandchildren-Joseph III, Meghan, Luke, Landon, Hudson, Madelyn, Ainsley, Riley and Henry.
Sue graduated from Bedford High School in Massachusetts, Aladdin Business College in Palm Shores and Airline Stewardess Training School in Chicago, Illinois. She worked as a stewardess with United Airlines based in Chicago and later as a secretary with Radiation Inc (now known as Harris Corporation). It was at Radiation Inc where she met Joe. The two were joined in the sacrament of marriage on December 26, 1970 at Ascension Catholic Church.
In June of 1972, Radiation Inc. gave them the opportunity to do contract work on the island of Kwajalein, Marshall Islands in the South Pacific Ocean. Friends made in the six years they lived on this tiny 6-mile island became family that lasted a lifetime. On the island, they enjoyed scuba diving, snorkeling, playing tennis, frequent trips to Hawaii and treasured time with friends. They also used this location as a base for their travels all around the world.
In July of 1978, Sue and Joe moved back to Melbourne Beach, Florida and built a house in Rivers Edge neighborhood where they would live for the next 42 years. Joe continued to work as an electrical engineer at Harris Corporation and Sue worked as a real estate appraiser for a couple of years before becoming a full time homemaker. Sue spent her life in dedication to her family and friends; there was nothing more important to her. Her favorite memories were of the many family camping trips, traveling, attending church together, going to the kids sporting events and later loving every moment she spent with her grandchildren.
Sue was active at her parish Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church. She participated in the Christ Renews His Parish Retreats, Small Group Faith Formation and the Catholic Council of Women. Sue also supported her community by volunteering for the Meals on Wheels program. She loved her bridge group of over 40 years and considered them her family.
Sue had a servant’s heart and was constantly blessing other people, whether through her prayers, a cooked meal, encouraging card, phone call or gift, she brought love and joy to everyone that knew her. She loved every moment of life even when it was difficult and her smile and laugh were contagious. Sue loved her country, reading, the beach, taking pictures, shopping and her dog Annabelle.
A funeral mass and celebration of life service is being held in Sue’s honor on Friday, April 9, 2021 at 10:15 AM at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church in Indialantic, Florida.
