Obituary of Harry Matthews

Harry “Dennis” Matthews (81) was a long-time resident of Titusville. Born in Buford, Georgia to Harry and Carolyn Matthews, Dennis grew up in New Smyrna Beach, attending New Smyrna Beach High School. After graduating from University of Florida with a Physics degree, he went on to spend his entire career at NASA as a Spacecraft Coordinator.

Dennis enjoyed retired life to its fullest. He was an avid and accomplished woodworker, a voracious reader and enjoyed traveling both near and far.  

He was loved and will be greatly missed by his wife Linda, his daughters, Cara Sherlock and Sheri Reed and his granddaughters, Maddie, Zoe, Ally and Jenna, as well as friends and family.

A celebration of Dennis’ life will be held at a later time.
