Obituary of Maria Rusoff

Maria Rusoff was born on February 17, 1942, and her gentle soul passed on January 8, 2021 following a brief illness.  She was born in Manhattan, New York, and was raised by a loving family in Teaneck, New Jersey.  Maria graduated from Holy Angels High School.

A nature lover, Maria travelled extensively throughout her life.  She called many different places home, including Columbus, Ohio, Tucson Arizona, Livingston, Montana, Glastonbury, Montana and several places on Florida's east coast.  She treasured her time in the pine forests of Montana, and on Florida's beaches.  Maria loved spending time and talking with friends and family, always quick to offer a kind word. 

Maria spent her working years as a caregiver, cooking and providing household support for those in need of assistance. She strongly believed that food was medicine, preparing and eating the finest quality organic and natural healthy foods. Maria took great pride in passing on her vast knowledge of nutrition.

Maria was predeceased by her parents, Thomas and Hilda Zeitler.  She is survived by her sister Barbara Sheehan, children, Deborah O'Brien, Robert Rusoff, Jr. and Jason Rusoff, and four grandchildren.
