Dear family, May my condolences bring you comfort and may my prayers ease the pain of this loss. I want to let you know that I met Alec in Feb 2020. He drove 2 hours to Tampa to help an Air Force Wounded Warrior (Me) with her military move. He was introduced to me by his RCC from Semper Fi. I heard wonderful things about him and I could not wait to meet him. He had an amazing sense of humor, a kind personality, and a huge loving heart. We texted back and forward and became good friends providing support to each other with kind words. We had plans to go surfing one day and he was supposed to teach me how to snowboard. He told me this past December how happy he was sharing with his family in Colorado and sent me a picture of his brothers together. I believed he enjoyed life to the fullest and he set an excellent example for me. He may not be physically present and it breaks my heart, but I know he will be watching over us making sure we are ok, because: HE IS AND ALWAYS WAS AN ANGEL CARING FOR EVERYONE WITHOUT EXPECTING ANYTHING BACK.

This has always been one of my favorite pictures of you and Diego. The expression on Diego’s face says what we all feel. He looked up to you and saw kindness, humor, security, and family. We will hold on to you forever for those same reasons. You can’t leave your family because, we all hold on to you with our memories and we have the responsibility to pass those memories forward. Stay close and help us remember.

Alec was a fine young man with a gentle soul and a great big heart of gold. While he was a student at PBCCS, he greeted me every morning with a great big smile and wave. I hope you can take comfort in knowing how many lives he impacted simply by being himself. Prayers for healing.

It has been such a privilege to know this incredible family! This loss makes our hearts hurt for them all! Alec’s humor and his glowing presence whenever he was around came as no surprise when my family first had the privilege of meeting him! What I remember most is thinking “Do they all have such perfect teeth and beautiful smiles?” Not to mention that incredible sense of humor..although somewhat warped at times :)..but we love it!!! ;) His smile, his eyes, and his crazy sense of humor has made him unforgettable to us!
