Obituary of Brian Edward Donahue

DONAHUE, Brian Edward, age 64, of Melbourne passed away Tuesday, January 5, 2021.

He was born in 1956 in Weymouth, MA to Harold and Virginia Donahue and grew up in Jacksonville, Florida.  He was a graduate of Edward White High School in 1974 and received his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Florida, Gainesville, in 1979.

Brian enjoyed traveling, golf, skiing, boating, fishing and gatherings with friends and family at the Eau Gallie Yacht Club, where he served as Commodore in 2004.  He worked for Harris Corporation from 1979 to 2006 where he was a Senior Engineering Manager – Systems Engineering.

He is preceded in death by both of his parents and a brother, Eugene Donahue.

He is survived by his childhood sweetheart and wife of 41 years, Patricia N. (Hall) Donahue; sister Karen and husband Charles Adams; daughter Dr. Megan Donahue and husband Dr. Paul Hahn; daughter Caitlin and husband Steven Sharpe and son, Blane Donahue; 2 granddaughters, Coralyn Hahn and Madelyn Sharpe and numerous in-laws, nieces, nephews, and friends.

A socially distanced funeral mass will be held at 4:00 PM Tuesday, January 12, 2021 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 1710 Hickory Street, Melbourne, FL (masked required) with a reception immediately following in the church hall.  If unable to attend, you may watch live at www.OLLMLB.org starting at 3:50 pm.
