Obituary of Donna Jean McManis

Donna Jean McManis, age 71, passed away on Christmas morning at Palm Bay Hospital in Palm Bay, FL.  She was the wife of Stephen D. McManis.  They shared 54 wonderful years of marriage together. 

Born on the 4^th of July in Carrollton, KY, she was the daughter of Cletus J. and Dorothy Ellen Harmon.  She attended Carroll County High School and was a devoted wife, daughter, Mom, sister, friend, and Granny during her life.  Donna loved to spend time with her family and was always involved with the happenings of her grandkids.  She enjoyed crocheting, baking, making Christmas candy, playing cards, and playing the slot machines.  She also loved to go fishing and always caught the first fish.  Donna was impulsive and always ready to go anywhere at any time.  She and Steve would show up and surprise their friends and family with visits when you least expected it.    

She is survived by her loving husband, Poppy, her furry companion Shiloh, her son Joshua L. McManis and wife Rebecca, daughter Angela McManis and husband Kirk Williams, sisters Rita Andress and husband Larry, Teresa Pentecost, and Linda Huffman and spouse Joe.  Donna so loved her four grandchildren, Gunnar Deatherage, Gage Deatherage, Kinley McManis, and Kaden McManis.  She was also blessed with a great grandson, Liam Silas Deatherage.

Donna chose cremation as her final resting state.  Given the current pandemic, a memorial service will be held in the future to celebrate Donna’s life.  Friends and family will be notified of the time and place for the service.
