Obituary of Robert Petersen, Jr.

Robert Petersen Jr. passed away Friday, December 11, 2020, at A&M Assisted Living Facility in Palm Bay, Florida.

Robert was born in 1955 in Illinois to parents Lynn and Robert Petersen Sr. He graduated from DeVry University with a master’s degree in Project Management & earned his bachelor’s degree in Product Design from Illinois Institute of Technology.

He was an avid reader of science fiction novels, Star Wars super-fan and automotive enthusiast. He loved animals and would often visit shelters to spend time with the dogs and donated frequently too many animal rights organizations. On weekends, you could find him at outdoor concerts, car shows & festivals or spending time with his rescue dog, Taffy. He made friends wherever he went. He was an intelligent mechanical engineer and a talented artist & singer.

He is survived by his two children, Breanne Sharos and Brendan Petersen, along with his younger brother, Dave Petersen.
