He was my 7th grade basketball coach at Hoover middle school.. still have the basketball bouncy ball he gave me for one of the boxing out drills.. used to just sit in his office and talk about life, you will forever be missed captain much love to you..

We moved to Melbourne Beach in March of 2015 so our daughter Sailor had 2 months at Gemini Elementary before we left on a year long sailing trip all of her 7th grade year. She started 8th grade knowing but 5 or so people. Unfortunately, none of those people ended up in her lunch so her first day in the cafeteria she walked full of dread through the food line, scanned the masses, then sat down alone at and empty table and started eating, her worst fears about middle school playing out. After a couple of minutes the school resource officer sat down with her, asked her about her classes and kept her company until she finished lunch. She was equal parts mortified (at the time, typical 8th grade girl) and touched (to this day as a senior in HS) ...it was Officer Doyle. Our entire family will never forget his kindness. RIP

I had the privilege of spending many a summer instructing PAL basketball camps with coach Doyle. During those times I was able to meet his loving family and am just broken-hearted that he has passed way too soon. We touched the lives of thousands of kids throughout Brevard county and I will never forget those memories. RIP Mike!
