Obituary of Carol Morrisey

Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, Carol Morrisey of Merritt Island, Florida, passed away on November 21, 2020 at the age of 94.

Carol was born on June 27^th 1926 to the late George and Beatrice Putnam of East Longmeadow, Massachusetts. She married George Morrisey of Brooklyn, New York on August 21^st, 1948.

She worked as a bank teller then started working with George as his executive/financial secretary as he built his business. Carol was an active member of her church family, working in the office, the choir, and playing the bells in their La Mirada California church. They moved from California to Florida in the late 80s and Joined Grace United Methodist Church and became an active member there singing in the choir, working in the office, and helping with the food pantry.  She was a talented painter, avid reader, loved her puzzles, and card games.  She loved traveling to new places around the world with George, his sister Ann and Carol’s sister Arline.

Carol is preceded in death by her siblings, Arline, Dorothy and Henry, husband George, their two daughters Leah and Lynn and their granddaughter Mary.

She is survived by her son Steven Morrisey and wife Marsha, her grandchildren Rose-Ann, Lisa, Rene and Clay. Her great grandkids Chris, Justin, Marasia, Katrina, Jakob, Hailey, Jordan, Shawn and Phaelyn, and her great great grandchild Maia.

A service will be held at Grace United Methodist Church in Merritt Island on Thursday 12/10/2020 at 2:00 pm.
