Obituary of Jerry W. Borecky

Jerry W. Borecky, age 93 of Melbourne, FL passed away on November 4, 2020.  He was born in Pine Bluff, AR to William Borecky and Julia Slaughter Borecky on December 11, 1926.

He loved his home town of Pine Bluff and lived most of his life there.  He was a WWII veteran (Navy) serving in Campaign Philippines.  He was an avid hunter and fisherman, active in church activities and was always good at “fixing” things.

He is survived by Jane, his wife of 69 years, one sister Marilyn Aureli of Pine Bluff, AR, two daughters Barbara Smith of Dover, DE and Rebecca Shannon of Melbourne, FL, three grandchildren Jennifer Williams (Seth) of Edgewater, MD, Matthew Brown (Ashley) of Azle, TX and Christopher Brown of Denton, TX, three great-grandchildren Nathan Williams, Alex Williams and Oliver Brown.

He was preceded in death by siblings Richard Borecky, Allen Borecky and Janice Turchi and granddaughter Kimberly Smith.

Funeral/memorial services will be announced at a later date.

Memorial donations in lieu of flowers may be made to the American Heart Association.
