Obituary of David Fyfe Patterson, Jr.

David Fyfe Patterson, Jr., 79, of West Melbourne, Florida Passed away on October 19, 2020 at Atlantic Shores Nursing and Rehab Center in Melbourne, Florida. He was born on December 12, 1940 in Miami, Florida to David Fyfe Patterson, Sr. and Barbara Patterson.

David is survived by his sister Jo Ann Guilin and husband, Al; nephew, Gregory Guilin; nieces, Margaret Guilin-Lopez and Ramona Rodriguez; former spouse and lifelong partner, Donna Patterson; children, Scherry Mcclelland, Debbie Myers, David A Patterson, his wife Sharon, and Matthew Patterson; grandchildren, Lee, Betty Ann, Zachary, Dustin, Austin, Jared and several great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, David is predeceased by daughter, Christine Patterson and son, Wendell Patterson.

David was either a long haul truck driver or auto mechanic for his entire working career. He loved to go fishing and was an avid NASCAR fan. His favorite drivers included Jeff Gordon, Jimmie Johnson and both Dale Earnharts. In reality, he liked any driver as long as they were in a Chevrolet car. In his later years, he became known as the neighborhood guard and would keep watch from his chair in the garage. Most times with a cigarette in hand.
