Obituary of Donna Louise Griffin

Donna Louise Griffin, age 78, of Barefoot Bay, Florida, left this physical realm on July 1, 2020.  As she did here, she will add joy and excitement in the afterlife as she joins her parents, sister, niece, nephew, other family members and friends.

   

Donna's husband, Jerry Griffin, passed in 2018.  She is survived by her sister Michaela Harris; her children Deborah McGuire, Brenda Douglass, Richard Bauer, and Christopher Bauer.  She also leaves behind seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

   

Donna grew up in Rhode Island before moving to Connecticut to raise her own family.  She moved to Florida in the early '80s when her children were grown.

   

Donna was always there for a lost soul in need and was ready to give all she could to help.  Whenever her children's friends had problems at home and felt the need to run away, they always came to her for solace.  The parents knew to call Donna to check in on their kids and that she would have them home when things cooled down. 

 

She lived her life helping others before herself, from her own kids, their friends, a stranger in need, to the lost or abandoned cats and dogs on the street.  She would never look the other way and always shared everything she had to help. 

 

She was also very well known for her love of dancing.  "There was no one who could do the Charleston like Donna."  She was a free-will that took full advantage of this vast experiment called life. 

 

Donna will remain in the hearts of many and never be forgotten.
