Obituary of Timothy George Spade
Timothy George Spade, 56, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, June 24, 2020, at his home in Palm Bay.
Tim was born on February 27, 1964, to Gerard (Jake) Spade and Georgia Midway Spade. Although he was born and grew up in Shamokin, PA, he has lived in many places; the Bronx, NY, Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Allentown, PA, and Falmouth, MA before moving back to Florida. In each of these places, he made lifelong friends, making a profound impact on those with whom he came into contact.
Tim attended Shamokin Area High School where he played tuba in the marching band and string bass in the orchestra and jazz band. He was an accomplished electric bass player. After receiving his associate's degree from Williamsport Area Community College, he started his career as an electrician and joined the IBEW Local 607. After nearly 20 years, Tim found his calling helping people struggling with addiction issues. He changed his direction to the treatment of addiction and eventually went back to school to get his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Psychology.
Tim’s passions were helping people, music (playing and listening), gardening, fresh and saltwater aquariums, and enjoying life. Every person he met saw how kind, warm, and funny he was.
Tim leaves behind Holly Miller, his wife of 8 years, his mother, Georgia, father, Jake, brothers, Jeff and Matthew, sister-in-law, Morgan, niece, Mabel, his uncle and godfather, Don Midway, his aunt and godmother, Catherine Hughes, and many more aunts, uncles, sisters- and brothers-in-law, a niece and nephew, cousins, and many, many friends.
Tim loved his family. He was a wonderful Husband, Son, and Brother.
An online memorial service will be held on Sunday, July 5th at 2:00 PM.
