Obituary of Jesse M. Collins

Jesse Mariner Collins, 89, passed away on Thursday, June 25, 2020 at his home in Suntree with his family at his side.

He was born on October 1, 1930 to the late Jesse Rueben Collins and Minnie Lee Reeves Collins.

Jesse was a Korean War Air Force Veteran.  He worked for U.S. Gypsum Company in Chicago, IL for 30 years and retired as a manager for Sea Coast Supply in Melbourne in 1993. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Melbourne.

Jesse loved the Lord and his family.  He was a wonderful Husband, Father and Papa. He never met a stranger and will be remembered for his welcoming smile and outgoing personality.

His family includes his wife of 66 years Barbara Malone Collins; his two daughters, Sally Moore (Bubba) and Susan McCleskey (Mitch); four grandchildren, Courtney Moore & Nick, Hannah Moore, Andrew McCleskey and Allison and Taylor McCleskey and Lindsey and four great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his siblings Frances Thompson, Walter Collins and Fredna Mullins.

A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, June 30, 2020 at 11:00 AM at Calvary Baptist Church, 2980 North Wickham Road, Melbourne, Florida.

Private interment with Air Force honors will take place the following day at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery, Mims, Florida.
