Paul and I were close friends, and Teacher/Student for many years. He was an amazing friend, a world class teacher, and a great human being. I will always miss him and never forget him. When I first heard we had lost him, I felt like giving up the guitar and a future in song writing. But gradually, I realized that I should forge ahead bravely just as he would. I never thought he could do that when he lost Deb; I feared that without Deb, we would soon lose Paul, which we did, but he was forging on bravely when we did. I am a faithful believer and a Catholic, as was Paul and I truly believe he will be waiting for us in an everlasting paradise and playing lead for his best band ever. He is there now and Deb is by his side again. Godspeed Old Friend! I will never forget you! Paul Mark Simmons

So sad to just hear this news just yesterday. I grew up a huge UFO fan (and still am) and when I heard Paul's work on 'No Place to Run' I always said if you didn't know that wasn't MS playing on that album, you would have thought it was MS. He continued the same blistering UFO guitar style and released the best UFO studio albums in my opinion. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends. He sounds like he was a true gem which is what this world needs more of. Thank you for your music.

Thank you so much for being a guitar legand playing with a band I loved when I was in High School. Thank you for being a wonderful guitar teacher this past year. I would have paid just to hear your concert stories and some if them I will not ever tell. You were the kindest, patient person I ever knew. I hope your guitar talent is spread throughout your loyal student. I will truly miss you Paul but I know you are rocking with all the legends in Heaven right now.

All condolences and sympathy for paul and all of his loving family in there time of sorrow.paul was golden a dear friend and fantastic guitarist even at 16 years old he was blistering.played with us at the moon club cardiff and always looked us up when he came to cardiff to see his mum Jean and we would jam at gigs that we had in heaven now paul with all your beloved family that went before you.say hi to titch and micky all great guitarists from cardiff Paul's first group as a a kid 15 years old was called chain reaction will always love and miss you for you magnanimity feel and intellect from craig burton bass and colin roberts drums tiger bay band late 70s at moon club Cardiff's cavern club always in our hearts and thoughts man you rocked peace and love craig and colin and all the musicians and people of cardiff and wales that were graced by your presence thanks for the music my friend never forgotten rock them in heaven paul rip.love craig xxxx
