Obituary of Kay Harlon Goshert
Kay Harlon Goshert, 74, of Palm Bay, Florida passed away on Thursday, June 11, 2020 at Palm Bay Community Hospital.
He was born on March 18, 1946 in Lancaster, PA to Howard William Goshert and Emma Yeakel, both of whom preceded him in death. He was the youngest of 12 children.
He is survived by his wife of 21 years, Theresa Ann (Patrick) Goshert, stepdaughter, JoAnn Ackerman and her children, Alexander and Anabella, who called Harlon “Pockey”, stepson, Douglas Hillman (deceased).
His children, daughter Tina (Wally) Wenrick, grandsons, Shane and Hunter; daughter, Tara Hiley and husband Mark, son Todd (Pamela) Goshert and grandsons, Tyler and Bryce.
Harlon worked in precast concrete in PA for many years. In Florida, he worked various jobs. After retiring, he worked part time for Kohls and in Christmas he dressed as Santa Claus which he loved and enjoy very much. He enjoyed working there and made many friends, “Santa” will be missed. Harlon never met a stranger. He enjoyed cruising and spending time with friends and neighbors. His breakfast crew, Ron, Pat, Barry and John will be one coffee cup short.
Harlon will be missed by many, but the most by his loving wife, Theresa.
Harlon will be cremated. No services will be held due to ongoing Covid-19 concerns for everyone’s health and safety.
