Obituary of Dorothy Kathrina Hammack (Pedersen)

Dorothy Kathrina Hammack (Pedersen) passed away with her husband by her side at Holmes Regional Medical Center on Thursday, May 28, 2020, at the age of 55 after a short battle with cancer.

Dorothy was born on January 19, 1965 in Alf, Germany to Oscar and Ilse (Speder) Pedersen, grew up in Diefenbach, Rheinland-Pfalz, Germany. After becoming a military spouse, Dorothy found her calling in life as a hotel manager, her true love was her family, planning vacations of adventure to places all over the world, hiking, biking, boating, kayaking and her favorite destination, a sunny, sandy beach.

Dorothy is survived by her husband of 29 years Keith Hammack, her daughter Alysha (Johnathan) Roy and granddaughter Adalyn Roy, step-grandchildren Amanda, Travis and James, her mother Ilse Pedersen, 2 sisters Nancy (Robert) Jackson and Julie Pedersen, and brother Stefan Pedersen.  She was preceded in death by her father Oscar Pedersen and grandmother Thekla Speder.

Dorothy’s life will be memorialized by her family spreading her ashes in the Atlantic Ocean as per her request.
