Obituary of Frank Thomas MacDonald

On Friday, April 3, 2020, Frank MacDonald, loving husband and father of four children, passed away at age 68.

Frank was born on December 30, 1951 in Cleveland, Ohio to George and Colleen MacDonald. He graduated from Harriton High School in 1969.

On January 13, 1973, he married Frances DeCaro. They raised four children, Gregory, Kelly, Stacey, and Sally.  Frank had a passion for helping others, as seen through his generous and humble character. He was a skilled carpenter, welder, and owned his own business, MacDonald Air Conditioning of Palm Bay, Florida. He was also well-read and enjoyed studying American history; he could answer any question on Jeopardy and taught all of his children to read at young ages.

Most memorable is Frank’s love for music. He enjoyed playing the guitar and harmonica and loved to sing. He was known for his integrity, love for family, and his kind and compassionate spirit.

Frank was preceded in death by his father, George, and his mother, Colleen.

He is survived by his wife Frances, his four children, Gregory MacDonald, Kelly Darby, Stacey Gilbert, and Sally Hamilton; his eight siblings, Suanne Simeone, Nancy MacDonald, Rob MacDonald, George MacDonald, Gregory MacDonald, Lynn Moss, Denise Perisho, and Colleen Kirk; and his adored grandchildren, Matthew, Thomas, Gavin, Brynn, Grace, and most recently born, Aubrey.
