Obituary of Rosemond Joseph Monestime

Rosemond Joseph Monestime, age 74, of Palm Bay, Florida went Home to be with his Lord on Friday, April 10, 2020.

Rosemond was born on November 14, 1945 of Lutancia Belzi and Clerier Monestime and raised by his grandfather Clesca Monestime in Villard, Haiti.

He lived in New Jersey for 30 years and worked at Trinity Bag in Elizabeth, New Jersey for over 25 years. He retired in Florida in October 2004 where he resided with his wife of over 45 years.

He was a courageous worker, a loving father, a generous provider, dependable brother, devoted husband, reliable friend, respected uncle, and a faithful man of God.

He leaves behind a dedicated wife Carida Monestime, a caring daughter Rosemane Monestime, and 3 wonderful sons- Fouchard, Schirmer,  and Carlyns Monestime. His in-laws include Rashid Jones-son in-law, and Tamara Andre-daughter in-law.  A total of 10 grandchildren – Schiky, Ciarra, Carmayzha, Malick, William,  Micaon, Ymanee, Nigel, Yahsir,  and Chloey. A huge family of sisters and brothers including  Germaine, Rico, Paracesse, Marie Nagele, Lesly, Jacques, Pierre Sylvio, Antonio, Solon, Clenes, Nissage, Adeline, Choupette, Wisly, Jean-Edward, Mona, and Ritza. A tremendous, supportive of nieces, cousins, nephews, and God-Children.

A true man of God who enjoyed feeding the birds, prayerfully confident, and is always willing and ready for a long and doting conversation.  Everyone loves him and he was there for families, friends and even strangers. He loved to sleep under his blanket, and had a funny sense of humor and a gentle soul. He loved his family and most of all loved the Lord.

His graveside service and burial will be at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, April 17, 2020 at Fountainhead Memorial Park located at 7303 Babcock Street SE, Palm Bay, FL.

He reminds us all- Avec Jesus, tout va biens and reste avec la paix.
