Obituary of Wanda J. Garra
Wanda Jean Garra (Kerry, Davis, Watkins), 91, born March 11, 1929 in Butler County, Pennsylvania gained her angel wings on April 14, 2020 at her home in Melbourne, FL.
Wanda was one of the purest souls you’d ever meet. She loved her family (and her dogs) more than anything.
After graduating from Lincoln High School in Ellwood City, Pennsylvania, Wanda moved to Indiana with her sister, Bonnie. She eventually settled in Melbourne, Florida, where she raised her three children and spent 25 years in Telecommunications at Harris Corporation, retiring in 1990.
Wanda was devoted to her church, where she played the organ for many years. She enjoyed gardening and baking with her grandchildren and traveling up north to visit family and friends.
She is predeceased by her husband Clifford Garra; parents, Roy W. and Velda Young Kerry; siblings, Elsie (Frank) Moore, Robert (Maude) Kerry, Bonnie (Don) McKinsey, Gail (Gena) Kerry, and Linda Kerry; son, Gregory Davis and daughter, Jeanine Walker.
She is survived by her two brothers, Dr. Roy (Nora Lee) Kerry and Vernon (Michele) Kerry; son, Kerry Davis; five grandchildren, Christian (Robert) Deihl, Derek (Rebekah) Davis, Tiffany (Tya) Struchen, Daryl (Valecia) Davis, and Sarah (Mike) Tomasovich, and her six great grandchildren.
A memorial service will take place at a later date at Community Church of God, 455 Audubon Dr., Melbourne, FL 32901.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made in her honor, to The Muscular Dystrophy Association at mda.org.
