Obituary of Joyce Moore Wiedman

Joyce Moore Wiedman, 80, peacefully departed this Earth on June 6th,, 2015 and ascended to heaven to join family and friends. Joyce was born on February 14th, 1935 in Swainsboro, GA and grew up on her family farm till the age of fifteen. Upon moving to Savannah, GA in 1950, she graduated high school while helping raise her nephew and supporting her mother. Affectionally known as+óGé¼-¥ Bill+óGé¼-¥, she had a lifetime devotion to her mother and two sisters. Joyce married an Air Force officer in 1957 and spent 20 years raising her son and daughter while her husband served his county. Upon relocating to Merritt Island in 1968, Joyce continued her education by receiving her AA degree from Brevard Community College. Joyce lived a quiet life in retirement on Merritt Island near her family and traveled the world with her close friends. A loving and devoted mother and grandma, her family includes son, Don Jr [Carla] Viera FL; daughter, Lori Parker [Ken] Sorrento, FL; grandchildren, Dalton and Darion; and many nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank Wuesthoff Hospice and the staff of Palm Cottages in Rockledge for their caring help and prayers during this most difficult time.No local services are planned. A burial service will be held a Hawhammock Baptist Church, Swainsboro, Ga. at a later date.
