Obituary of Jerry Joseph Berry

Jerry Joseph Berry Sr., 69, went to be with the Lord Saturday, July 30, 2016. Jerry was born March 2, 1947 in Chicago, IL. He served in the US Navy from September 11, 1964 to August 16, 1967. He attended college in Illinois and earned a degree from Faith Bible Institute in Tennessee. He was a volunteer firefighter for five years in Illinois and was a welder for Caterpillar Tractor in Aurora, IL for twelve years. He was also a supervising cook at Sierra Conservation Center in Jamestown, CA for thirteen years. He retired in 2002. He was a die-hard Green Bay Packer fan and loved gardening. A Born Again Christian, he had a strong Christian faith. He kept his sense of humor until the very end. A loving husband, father and grandfather, his family includes his wife of 49 years, Susan; Son and daughter in law Jerry Berry Jr. and Charlene; daughter Victoria Berry; grandchildren Sarah Smith, Michael Smith and Emily Smith. He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Berry, grandparents Frank & Sylvia Krywokulski and brother Ken Berry Jr. Viewing will be held on Tuesday, August 2, 2016 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Ammen Family Cremation and Funeral Care, 950 Malabar Road SE, Palm Bay. A funeral service will be held at 7:00 PM. Interment with Navy honors will take place on Wednesday, August 3, 2016 at 2:30 PM at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery, 5525 US Highway 1, Mims, Florida.
