Our Dearest Aunt Jo will always be cherished forever! She was like my shining star and I always looked up to her for being steadfast in doing the very best in whatever she chose to achieve throughout life. I ache for not having her around to spend time with her family in the Shenandoah Valley more throughout our lives but I understood. But I’ve always felt her urging me on every time I’d sing in public.
Oh how we’ll miss your bright smile lighting up the room when you entered.
Your loving niece,
Brenda Kay Quick McCauley

So sorry to hear of her loss. She was the most influential teacher I ever had and kept me from being bored with her amazing Gifted Class. I had her for 5 years at Fisher and MBSH. She taught us the Contributions of Worth which we had to apply what we learned in school to the outside world. I will forever remember her inspiration.

I saw the obituary in the Miami Herald. Ms. Chesley was my gifted teacher at Nautilus and MBSH. I remember her fondly for introducing me to the Great Books and many other ideas, as well as being an excellent teacher. Kind and gentle wishes to you all. Aimee Heller

So sorry to read about Jo. I was the librarian at Nautilus when Jo taught her gifted class in the library. She did an outstanding
job bringing out the best from those children. Roberta Kaiser

We are so sad to hear of Jo’s passing but happy that she and Bob will be together again. We always enjoyed catching up with them when they were in North Bay Village. Sending hugs to the family. Beth FigueredoHardie Hart & John Hart
