Obituary of Alice Jane Vanderburgh

Alice Jane Vanderburgh, 77, of Melbourne, FL, passed away peacefully on April 9, 2016 at the William Childs Hospice House in Palm Bay, FL. Alice was born February 2, 1939 in Manchester, CT. She graduated from St. Francis Hospital School of Nursing in Hartford, CT. After working many years as a psychiatric nurse, she retired from Hollywood Memorial Hospital in FL. Alice is survived by her mother, Ruth, who will be 102 years old on April 18; her cousin Ruth Bemis; and several other cousins in Maine and Florida. Alice fought a long and valiant fight against cancer. She will be sorely missed by her friends and family.Funeral Mass will begin at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 16, 2016 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 5330 Babcock Street NE, Palm Bay 32905.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church or to William Childs Hospice House, 381 Medplex Parkway, Palm Bay 32907.
