I worked for your mom at the Red Owl Restaurant many years ago. My first day on the job was my 16th birthday in 1970. Your mom was so much fun, she always seemed to have an upbeat attitude and a smile on her face! How she loved to tell a funny story or two! I will never forget all the times she came barreling into the parking lot at the mall in Escanaba, top down on her big gold convertible, with a giant pink satin hair bonnet covering her whole head so that her bouffant hairdo didn’t get messed up! One thing that I recall is how much she obviously loved her husband and family, whenever she spoke of you, her face lit up. I’m sorry that you’ve lost her, but how lucky you were to have her!
